Keagan joined Augustine Bater Binks LLP in August 2019 after completing her articles with the firm. Keagan graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Ottawa in June 2018 and was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2019.
While in law school, Keagan worked as a Case Worker and Division Leader at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic. She gained valuable experience in dealing with high conflict and emotional situations and applies these skills to her practice at Augustine Bater Binks.

A proud native of Eastern Ontario, Keagan strives to assist those in her community by providing client-centered legal services and solutions outside the courtroom. However, she is prepared to pursue the court process when this is not possible. Her main area of practice is family law.

Keagan has worked on a variety of issues, including property division, custody and access, and child and spousal support. She is also experienced in drafting cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts, and separation agreements. Keagan has represented clients before the Superior Court of Justice and has prepared for case conferences, settlement conferences, motions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.

Keagan recognizes the importance of helping people navigate the legal system. She currently sits as a member of the executive for the Young Lawyers Division – East and is a mentor with the Women Legal Mentorship Program. Keagan is a proud member of LEAF (Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund) and served as Events Coordinator for the Ottawa Division while in law school.

Outside of the practice of law, Keagan is passionate about weight lifting, traveling, and exploring the local food scene.
